Jan 2010 Update

Moses: It is Burger King NOT BERBER KING (berbere is a spice in ethiopia...Moses thought we were keeping this restaurant a secret from him and it had berbere spice)

All the kiddos have glasses except Caleb.

It is Star Wars...NOT Star Horse.

The girls hairs were braided. Beautiful!!! It only took 7 hours for Gabrielles and 5 1/2 hours for Sophie's. Good thing it lasts a couple of months.

Joseph thought it would be fun to flush his toy phone. After the plumber performed major surgery, he was able to extract Joseph's phone and asked me if I wanted it back...eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww...NO.

The kiddos discovered that pork means pig meat. Sophie had to rub it in by saying PIG PIG PIG YOU are eating PIG...the others did not want to eat it...she just wanted it for herself.

The kids love the show Dr. Quinn Medicine woman and refer to it as they want to watch Dr Mike. The old James Bond movie they refer to as James...I don't know when they went on a first name basis with the shows.

Jospeh goes to headstart preschool 3 days a week and two days a week in preschool. Caleb is mainstreamed in Kindergarten. Sophie and Isaiah spends a few hours each day with the english as second language teacher and the rest of the day in second grade. Gabrielle spends about half of her day with the english second language teacher and the other half with her 4th grade class. Moses spends a few hours each day with the english as second language teacher and the rest of the day with his 5th grade class.

The kiddos were able to spend time outside in the snow. They are NOT accustomed to the cold so they are not able to be out for very long. They did have a great time learning to slide and make snowmen. But where there is snow there is snowballs and boys. Did not take long for them to start throwing snowballs at each other...without any instruction at all.

Christmas went wonderful except for the many days were we snowed in and John and Angie and Jaxon could not come and spend Christmas with us. We did get to Omaha for the Waterpark and the kiddos LOVED the water slides and spending time with the family.

The kiddos started Jazz and Tap lessons January 13. They really like it. Swimming lessons started January 17. The kiddos are in a class at the YMCA.
