3/27/09 GRANDMA AND GRANDPA

We just found out that we are going to be grandma and grandpa around Christmas time! What WONDERFUL news! We ask for prayers for Angie and John for a safe and healthy pregnancy, delivery, and new baby!

More Kids???

When we originally put in for adoption we were approved for up to 6 children. We are getting our 4 little blessings next week in Ethiopia. We were just notified this morning that we have been accepted for 2 additional children at the same care center! We feel soooo blessed that God has chosen us to raise his children for him. The joy we feel can not be described. We do not get to take these children home with us next week when we are in Ethiopia but we will get to give love, hugs, and kisses to them. We will get to see them again in about 4 months.

18 Days Who's Counting

18 more days until beautiful Africa. Louie and I can hardly wait. My foot, still in the air healing will not stop us. We are making quite a bit of lemonade from all these lemons hurled at us the last few weeks. We pray for strong bones, healthy children, trip as planned, and safety as we travel. God truly takes our breath away how all his plans fall together fully.

2/28/09 Julie's BIG Fall

Yes, well the klutz in me is here again. I fell on the ice, broke both bones in my right leg, shattered my ankle, a surgery, pins, plates, screws and any other hardware they found laying around is now in my right leg and ankle. The days waiting to pick up our blessings from ethiopia is going quite slow. So we pray...and pray..pray.
